Aspiring for Less

For a more sophisticated look at the New York Times check out my dear sister's blog here. Me, I'm still using the excuse of having had a baby (almost 16 months ago, but still) to skim the 'most popular' section of the NYT online for the majority of my 'news'. If this sounds familiar, you may have already read "Organize This!". If not, take a look. Reading it gave me itchy fingers to start chucking stuff.

I've never been a wiz at organizing. The recent addition to our family seems to compulsively attract all manner of totally irresistible accessories, small little things that need constant tending, cleaning and putting away. To make matters worse, since becoming mobile, M's main goal seems to be "Disorganize This!" ("This" being our entire apartment). Long term, I have no fear, she is a Virgo after all. Short term, keeping the stuff at bay is like herding cats.  The good news is, I have a limited emotional attachment to our material things so it's minimally traumatic once I get going.

It's easy to lose track of just how "free" our minds could be with just a little pruning. To say that I have the full support of my husband is an understatement. It's time to dive in!
